My Patient Has a Rotator Cuff Tear:
Latest Strategies to Optimize Outcomes
November 17, 2012
COURSE OVERVIEW
This one-day lecture course is designed to provide the clinician with an advanced understanding of the anatomy and biomechanics of the shoulder girdle complex, and an appreciation of the critical factors related to rotator cuff pathophysiology, injury, tissue integrity, arthroscopic surgical repair, as well as the role of reverse arthroplasty either with or without tendon transfer. Participants will view 2 live surgeries, which is a unique opportunity and will help gain a better understanding of the surgical technique for both arthroscopic rotator cuff repair as well as reverse arthroplasty for the cuff deficient shoulder. Surgical and rehabilitation factors will be thoroughly explored to support an evidence based framework for rehabilitation.
